Contents	The Board of Directors of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad informs that the Company has incorporated a new subsidiary with the name of Tan Chong Education Sdn Bhd under the Companies Act, 1965 in Malaysia on 1 September 2009. Tan Chong Education Sdn Bhd is an investment holding company for the Group’s future investments in education related business. Tan Chong Education Sdn Bhd has an authorized capital of RM100,000 made up of 100,000 shares of RM1 each and an issued and paid-up capital of RM2 made up of 2 ordinary shares of RM1 each. It is wholly-owned by Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad. The formation of the new company has no material effect on the earnings, net assets and gearing of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2009. None of the directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connect with them has an interest, direct or indirect, in the formation of the new company. This announcement is dated 2 September 2009.
