Reference is made to our announcements dated 18 August 2017, 5 January 2018 and 11 January 2018 pertaining to the Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim filed by Transnasional Express Sdn Bhd, Plusliner Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Kenderaan Melayu Kelantan Berhad, Syarikat Rembau Tampin Sdn Bhd, Kenderaan Langkasuka Sdn Bhd, Konsortium Transnasional Berhad and MHSB Properties Sdn Bhd (collectively “the Plaintiffs”) against Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (“TCIE”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (“TCMH”).

TCMH wishes to announce that TCIE’s solicitors have informed that the Court of Appeal, after hearing submissions of both parties on 15 November 2018, had allowed the Plaintiffs' appeal with no order as to costs and set aside the High Court Striking Out Order of 4 January 2018. The Court of Appeal further directed the case to be re-fixed for case management on 27 November 2018 in the High Court for a full trial.

TCIE will be discussing the above matter with their solicitors on the next course of action, and further announcement will be made should there be any material development on this matter.
